A devastating incident occurred at the Radford Studio Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday, resulting in the loss of a crew member working on the new Marvel TV series Wonder Man. The accident took place on a high walkway, although filming was not underway at the time.

The deceased has been identified as Juan Osorio, a 41-year-old lighting technician, according to the coroner's report. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.

Marvel expressed their heartfelt condolences to Juan Osorio's family and friends, emphasizing their full support for the ongoing investigation. "Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident," stated a Marvel spokesperson.

Wonder Man, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley, was scheduled to resume filming in March after being delayed due to the recent Hollywood strikes. The Disney+ series follows the story of Simon Williams, who gains extraordinary powers and becomes a superhero.

While incidents resulting in fatalities or serious injuries on film and TV sets are relatively uncommon, there have been notable cases in recent years. In 2021, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins tragically lost her life and director Joel Souza was injured when a firearm discharged on the set of the film Rust. Actor Alec Baldwin has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in relation to the incident.

Additionally, during the filming of the Gladiator sequel in Morocco last year, several crew members were injured in a mishap during a stunt sequence. In 2018, a production assistant on the TV series Power lost their life after being struck by a car. The incident was later determined to be an accident.

Tragically, a crew member from the Marvel Studios television series "Wonder Man" lost his life on Tuesday. The incident occurred at Radford Studio Center, located just outside of Los Angeles, when he fell from the rafters.

The Los Angeles Police Department identified the man as Juan Carlos Osorio, who was working as a rigger. Sadly, he passed away at the scene. It is important to note that the accident did not happen during filming as the Wonder Man show was not being filmed at that time.
